Generally continued perioperatively and to be given on the day of procedure.

• If bleeding risk is greater than thrombotic (e.g. TURP) it must be discussed with the appropriate specialist on a case by case basis.

• If a decision is made to stop, it must be witheld 7 days prior to surgery.
